Replacing Dodd — By: Jack Fowler

Republicans will lose the seat if Attorney General Richard Blumenthal decides to run. Everyone likes him; he's considered a nice guy. If somebody sneezes, he is there to give remarks. (I'm only slightly exaggerating.) I must have been at four Milford events where he spoke in past few years, and he's been to others in town, and he does this all over the state, and has been for 20 years.

-- NR Publisher Jack Fowler is active in Conn. politics, having served on the Milford Board of Aldermen and was the Republican Town Committee Chairman.
